Information on the collection and processing of personal data
(1) Our website can generally be used without providing any personal data. Personal data is only collected if you provide it to us voluntarily, e.g. by sending emails (including digital information). We will only use the personal data collected from you to provide you with the information you request or for other purposes for which you have given your consent, unless there are legal obligations to the contrary.
(2) Your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies. Storage may also take place if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in Union regulations, laws or other provisions to which the controller is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a blocking period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires.
(3) If you use the website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not provide personal data yourself, e.g. by filling out contact forms or sending emails, we only process the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you would like to view our website, we process the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR):
- Anonymized client IP: We collect IP addresses to identify where our servers may be attacked from. We store these for a maximum of seven days, as is customary in the industry. After that, they are anonymized. For data protection reasons, however, the IP addresses in the log file can only be viewed anonymously from the start. An example: 123.456.789.001 becomes anon-123-456-165-41.invalid.Timestamp: This contains information about the day and time at which the visitor accessed our website.
- Request line: This is the path of the target address without the domain. When the visitor clicks on an image on our website, the URL behind it is “YourWebsite.com/image.jpg”. The request line is then “/image.jpg”.
- Status code: This is always displayed when a requested page or file cannot be found. 404 is the status code that indicates that the visitor wanted to access a non-existent page. The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority has defined a number of other status codes that are useful for error analysis: 200, for example, means OK – the user was able to access your page without any errors.
- Size of the response body: When the visitor goes to our website, he temporarily downloads data. These are, for example, the images and texts that he sees in his browser. The log file indicates how large this data is.
- Referrer sent by the client: This field shows from which page the visitor came to our website.
- User agent sent by the client: For example, information about the type and version of browser and operating system the visitor uses.
The database and its contents remain with our company and our provider. Your personal data will not be made available to third parties in any form by us or by persons commissioned by us, unless you have given your consent or an official order to do so, or unless this is necessary to process a contractual relationship that has arisen.
(4) When you contact us by email or via a contact form, the information you provide (your email address, content of your email, subject if applicable, date, your name if applicable, etc.) will only be stored by us for the purpose of processing your questions and in the event of follow-up questions. No data will be passed on to third parties in this context. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If the email contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
If you make a report on drug safety or side effects, we collect personal data related to the report, such as personal information about you and your living circumstances, your state of health, medications you are taking and side effects you have experienced. You are not obliged to provide your personal data, but if you do not provide it, it may not be possible to record the report and/or take into account any findings from it. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR in conjunction with Section 63 b AMG.
